The end of the year is always a special time for Expressions Interiors. It’s a time for reflection and revelry, celebration and Christmas, parties and projects of the year.
Looking back it has been quite a busy year for us, and while the projects discussed below are the ‘best’ it was a harsh cut. Phil is immensely proud of the work his experienced team do, this is more the ‘crème de la crème’ as the long list was very long.
Talking of the work Expressions Interiors put into our projects, everything starts with preparation.
Anyone can hold a brush. Anyone can slap paint on surfaces. What makes Expressions Interiors clients happy is the level of care taken before either of those two things happens. As you can see from this project, a great deal of the end product (below) takes place in the images above. The floor is thoroughly covered, light fittings draped, surfaces safely and securely protected.
As you can see the end project looks amazing. The darker paint work compliments both the clients’ flooring and worktops. The transformation changes a good kitchen into a sensational kitchen that brings everyone together.
Darker doesn’t always mean more dramatic. The clients in our next 2022 project wanted a colour scheme that sits well under the high roof beams. Here the lighter paint works to accentuate the already spacious kitchen while also making it inviting and intimate. It looks perfect for any occasion from family breakfast to adults’ dinner party.
Space has been a theme in our projects this year. Whenever a client makes first contact we don’t mind if it is a small family kitchen or a homely range in a mansion. As you’ll see from the next set of projects, here the team worked wonders whether they had acres of space or were stepping on each others’ toes.
We don’t just refurbish kitchens for our clients, we help them revitalise their interiors. The top project outside of the kitchen was this gorgeous living room with a fireplace and built-in storage. With the fireplace surround and the floor having such a deep tone to the wood, the subtle colour applied to the walls and furniture bring about a calming balance. Can’t you feel yourself settling down on that sofa, facing that fire, reading Emma Sims-Hilditch’s The Evolution of Home.
Storage around the home has also been a feature of our teams projects in 2022. They also have their own individual merits though the vibrant blue corner furniture really sets off its room perfectly.

Our final ‘best’ project of 2022 not only shows off the amazing skills of Expressions Interiors staff from start to finish, it also demonstrates all the things good kitchens brings to families. The contrasting colours in the kitchen give way to a much used utility room.
